Tracking Classes

  • Line Tracking: Dogs learn to follow a scent trail left by a person or object, navigating various terrains and environments with accuracy.
  • Scent Detection and Discrimination: Dogs develop their scent detection skills, distinguishing between different scents and identifying target odors with proficiency.
  • Article Identification: Dogs are trained to locate and indicate specific articles, such as a billfold or other objects, associated with the tracked scent.
  • Step-By-Step Tracking: Through structured exercises, dogs learn to methodically track scents, following each step of the trail to its conclusion.
  • Pursuing Specific Scents: Handlers guide dogs to pursue scents identified from uncontaminated scent articles, enhancing their tracking abilities in real-world scenarios.

More Details

The course has six 30-minute classes (one class per week). To ensure the success of our tracking program, we require that dogs have completed Basic Obedience training before enrolling in this course.
